Reign Defeat Wranglers, 4-2
Lewadniuk and Taylor Each Record One Goal, One Assist

LAS VEGAS, NV
– The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, beat the Las Vegas Wranglers 4-2 before a crowd of 2,579 at the Orleans Arena Thursday night.

The Wranglers took a 1-0 lead at 12:48 of the first period, as Kevin Schaeffer threw the puck at the net and it got by a screened Jase Weslosky.

Ontario took a 3-1 lead with three goals in under eight minutes in the second period.  Aaron Lewadniuk led it off with his 15th goal of the season at 1:20, as he fired off a shot and then backhanded his own rebound past Michael Ouzas.  Kyle Kraemer sliced between two defenders and slid the puck into the net for his 14th goal of the year just 81 seconds later.  Shawn Germain tallied his third goal of the season when he snapped a feed from Lewadniuk into the net at 9:04.  Las Vegas cut the Ontario lead to 3-2 on a late goal by Colin Long.

Weslosky turned aside all nine Las Vegas shots in the third period and Justin Taylor added an empty-net goal, and the Reign went on to win it, 4-2.

Weslosky made 27 saves in his second consecutive win with the Reign, while Ouzas took the loss with 32 saves.
