ONTARIO REIGN EXPANDS SALES STAFF
Five new Account Executives hired to fulfill ticket demands
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign of the ECHL, proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced today that they have hired Vinh
Aven, Tony Duran, Evan Flagg, Ben Pacheco and Brad Spetnagel as Ticket Account Executives. The new sales staff will be responsible for selling season and group tickets and customer service of ticket accounts.
Vinh Aven, a local Ontario, Calif. native, joins the Reign sales staff after spending the past year as a personal assistant to the president of Oh, How Charming!, an event planning studio based out of Santa Ana. A 2002 graduate of Chaffey High School and a graduate of Vanguard University, Vinh received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing in 2007.
Tony Duran comes to the Reign after working for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as an Inside Sales Representative. Tony attended Chaffey College and has previous experience working with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and Walt Disney Company.
Evan Flagg, a 2006 graduate of Pomona College, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, as well as his Masters of Professional Studies in November 2007 from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Evan joins the Reign as a Ticket Account Executive after working as a marketing representative with Nike SPARQ Team Challenge out of Portland, Ore.
Ben Pacheco joins the Reign from the Los Angeles Dodgers where he worked as an Account Executive for the Dodgers Inside Sales department. Ben graduated from California State University Fullerton in 2006 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services. Prior to joining the Reign, Ben worked for Fry’s Electronics and Disneyland Resort.
Brad Spetnagel, a local 1998 graduate of Alta Loma High School, comes to the Reign after working as an Account Executive for two years at Charter Media based out of Rancho Cucamonga. He is involved in the local community as a YMCA basketball coach and participates in the City of Rancho Cucamonga Grape Harvest.
“We are extremely pleased to expand our staff of Account Executives,” Director of Ticket Sales James Collins said. “The five individuals joining our team have a wealth of professional sports and entertainment experience. They will help ensure that our fan base is among the best in the ECHL and that Citizens Business Bank Arena will be the place to be during the upcoming season.”
**Note: Joyce Hamming, former Reign Business Office Manager has been promoted to Director of Client Relations and Events. Joyce’s duties will include sponsor fulfillment and assisting in the planning and execution of all sponsor and corporate related events.
ECHL
Began in 1988-89 with five teams playing in four states, the Premier ‘AA’ Hockey League has grown into a coast-to-coast league that will have 23 teams in 16 states and British Columbia playing 828 games from Oct. 17, 2008 to Apr. 4, 2009. Eighteen of the 23 teams have played at least five years in their current city.
The third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League, the ECHL averaged 4,174 per game last season, marking the fourth year in row and the 16th time in the last 18 years that the league has averaged over 4,000 fans. The league has drawn over four million fans each of the last five years and 11 times in the past 12 seasons.
