Zamboni Co. delivers Machine #9,000 to Ontario; Machine on display at Ontario Mills Mall
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign of the ECHL, proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced today that Frank J. Zamboni & Company, Inc. has delivered their 9,000th ice-resurfacing machine to the Ontario Reign for use at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. They also announced that the Zamboni machine is now on display at the Ontario Mills Mall in Ontario, Calif.
The Model 545 that was delivered to the arena is a piece of history for both the Zamboni Co. and the Ontario Reign. This machine marks a significant production milestone for the company and is the first-ever Zamboni machine to touch the ice at the Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Zamboni machine, sponsored by the Mission Inn, is wrapped in vivid colors depicting the Mission Inn logo and landscape on the main sides of the machine. The top of the machine features the Ontario Reign primary logo against a white background and the front of the machine sports the Citizens Business Bank Arena logo.
The Model 545 is one of four different models that are manufactured in Paramount at the Zamboni Company’s California factory. Zamboni has a manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and a branch office in Zurich, Switzerland with Authorized Dealers around the globe. Zamboni’s 9,000th machine was delivered as the Company approaches its 60th anniversary celebrating their introduction of the world’s first ice resurfacing machine in 1949.
“Ontario’s new facility is quite an accomplishment for their city and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to deliver a machine that honors an achievement of our own.” Richard Zamboni, Zamboni Company President and son of Frank J. Zamboni said.
The Zamboni machine will be on display at the Ontario Mills Mall now through the end of September and is located inside the mall at entrance one near Marshall’s and Cost Plus World Market. Fans can view the machine, take photos, or inquire about Reign season tickets from representatives available in the kiosk directly next to the Zamboni display. The Mall is open Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at One Mills Circle, at the intersection of Interstates 15 and 10 in Ontario.
