Reign Face-Off Against Condors And Wranglers In Pre-Season
Dec. 10 and Dec. 12 games rescheduled
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign of the ECHL, proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced today that they will play one
game apiece against the Bakersfield Condors and the Las Vegas Wranglers in an October pre-season match-up prior to the commencement of the season. The Reign also announced that the Dec. 10 and Dec. 12 games have been rescheduled.
The Ontario Reign will take to the ice for their first-ever pre-season game against the Bakersfield Condors on Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m. Two days later, on Sunday, Oct. 12, the defending National Conference Champion Las Vegas Wranglers head to Ontario for another pre-season match up that is schedule to begin at 5 p.m. Both games will be held at Center Ice Arena in Ontario, Calif. Admission is limited and fans can get in to watch the Reign for only $10! Fans can receive $2 off admission to the event if they bring in a new or used children’s book, which will be donated to a local charity.
Center Ice Arena is located at 201 S. Plum Ave, east of Euclid Ave and south of Holt Blvd.

December Schedule Changes
The Ontario Reign also announced two game changes for the 2008-09 season. The game scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Phoenix has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 26. In addition, the Reign home game versus the Las Vegas Wranglers scheduled for Friday, Dec. 12, has been moved to Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.
ECHL
Began in 1988-89 with five teams playing in four states, the Premier Hockey League has grown into a coast-to-coast league that will have 23 teams in 16 states and British Columbia playing 828 games from Oct. 17, 2008 to Apr. 4, 2009. Eighteen of the 23 teams have played at least five years in their current city.
The third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League, the ECHL averaged 4,174 per game last season, marking the fourth year in row and the 16th time in the last 18 years that the league has averaged over 4,000 fans.The league has drawn over four million fans each of the last five years and 11 times in the past 12 seasons.
