Former Reign Player Rheault Nets Three For Flames

It was a Jon Rheault show in Penticton as the Flames took on the Anaheim Ducks Monday night at the Young Stars Tournament . Rheault displayed his crafty hands and made a case for himself to attend Calgary Flames main training camp, scoring three goals and adding two helpers for a five point game as the Flames defeat the Ducks by a convincing score of 8-4.

"I'm playing with great players," said Jon Rheault. "Mikael Backlund and Lance Bouma and I had great chemistry tonight we were good on the power play so it was a good night. Backlund and are are both players that like to use our speed. He is a very gifted play-maker and I like to take pucks to the net so it's a good combination."

Also scoring for the Flames were Bryan Cameron, Carter Bancks, Mikael Backlund, Josh Meyers and Keith Seabrook.

"He's a speedy little guy with good hands and good vision," Mikael Backlund commented on Jon Rheault. "He's a good player with a good shot too. Easy to play with."

"He's earned his contract," said head coach Jim Playfair. "He's a guy who's worked really hard in the East Coast League and in and out of the American League to earn the right. I think that's what you want to do as a coach is find those players that have that type of hunger and haven't been given very much, they've earned everything. They're fun to be around."

The Flames are in action again tomorrow when they face The Edmonton Oilers
prospects. The game will be streamed live at 8:30 Mtn on calgaryflames.com
