Reign Pound Condors, 4-1
Ontario Unbeaten Streak Reaches Five Games

Ontario, Calif. – The Ontario Reign (5-2-1-0), proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, defeated the Bakersfield Condors (5-5-1-0) 4-1 before 4,203 at Citizens Business Bank Arena Tuesday night.  Bill Bagron recorded a goal and an assist in the win.

Matt Tassone’s power-play goal at 2:04 of the second period got the scoring started.  Steven Tarasuk fired a shot from the point which drew goaltender Matt Keetley to the ice to make the stop.  Tassone corralled the rebound and slipped it around Keetley’s outstretched leg pad.  It was Tassone’s third goal in the last two games.  C.J. Stretch notched another power-play goal for the Reign at 18:37.  Stretch took a feed low in the left circle from Tarasuk, wheeled around as if looking to make a pass and whistled a surprise wrist shot over the glove of Keetley.

Chris Cloud, who scored a knockout punch earlier in the game in a fight with Adam Ross, scored a goal at 7:32 of the third period to put the Reign ahead 3-0.  Bill Bagron came down the left side of the ice and put a pass right onto the tape of Cloud who buried the puck in the net.  Bakersfield’s leading scorer, Scott Freeman, broke the Ontario shutout at 12:00, but the Ontario special teams came through again, as Bill Bagron netted a short-handed goal at 13:16.

Darcy Kuemper (4-0-0) earned the win with 22 saves on 23 shots, while Keetley (3-3-0) stopped 30 of 34 in the loss.

Kuemper lowered his goals-against average to 1.47 (second best in the ECHL) and Stretch's goal extended his scoring streak to five games.
