Reign Fall to Thunder, 3-2
Yeo Records Two Assists in Return to Lineup

Ontario, Calif. – The Ontario Reign (7-5-1-0), proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, fell 3-2 to the Stockton Thunder (6-4-1-2) before 6,787 at Citizens Business Bank Arena Friday.

The Reign and Thunder traded goals in the first period, with Matt Foy putting Stockton up 1-0 at 15:53 and Geoff Irwin drawing Ontario even at 18:32. Irwin took a pass low in the right circle, turned his shoulder left and zipped a shot just inside the right post. Derek Couture gave Ontario its first lead of the game at 10:57 of the second, as he redirected Steven Tarasuk’s one-timer past Olivier Roy to put the Reign ahead 2-1. Both Reign goals came with a two-man advantage.

A defensive miscue in front of the Ontario net allowed Milan Kyntar to even the score for Stockton early in the third. Kevin Baker’s goal at 11:45 proved to be the game winner as Stockton won it 3-2.

Roy (1-3-3) stopped 40 shots in his first win of the season, while Jean-Francois Berube (2-4-1) turned aside 24 in the loss.
