ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, announce that the Hope Reigns Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ontario Reign Hockey Club has teamed up with the Claremont Club to host the Danbury School children and their families for a night of hockey and fun filled educational activities.

The Danbury school located in Claremont, California serves students with physical and/or serious health impairments for the cities of Claremont, Pomona, Walnut, La Verne,
San Dimas, Glendora, Azusa, Diamond Bar, Covina and West Covina.  Students, beginning at age 3 to 6th grade, are challenged and encouraged to reach their full academic, physical and social potential, in order to be productive members of our society.  Due to the special need of Danbury students to ‘experience’ first hand what they have heard and seen in the classroom, field trip activities are provided by the school and community to help make tangible what has been taught.

On November 19th, 2009, The Ontario Reign players will visit Danbury to teach the children about hockey and all that is involved in the sport, including the wonder of an ice rink, sportsmanship, exercise, and community.  The young athletes of the Reign will interact with the children through activities and stories about their experiences and the sport.    On November 20th, 2009, The Reign will host the children of Danbury and their families, over 300 people, for a night of hockey to experience what they learned and heard on the school visit.  The attendees will join the Reign on the ice before the game, to touch the ice, view the rink and interact with the team, as part of their lesson.

The Hope Reigns Foundation debuted July 1, 2009. The Hope Reigns Foundation is the non-profit entity of the Ontario Reign. The Hope Reigns Foundation is dedicated to providing children in the Greater Inland Empire area with educational and recreational opportunities.
The Claremont Club is a premier Health, Tennis, Fitness, and Aquatic facility. Our commitment extends far beyond providing a world-class club at an affordable price. We are located on 19 beautiful acres and offer an array of programs and activities for everyone.
Please contact Joyce Hamming, Director of Hope Reigns Foundation at (909) 941-7821 or at jhamming@ontarioreign.com with any questions regarding the foundation.
