About Alex
Alex Ryan joined the Reign before the 2021-22 season after previously serving as the Head Equipment Manager for the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) since the 2019-20 season.
Alex is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, but grew up in Woodstock, New Brunswick. He previously held the Head Equipment Manager position for one season with the Val d’Or Foreurs and for four seasons at St. Francis Xavier University, where he was a member of two AUS Championship teams and two USports national silver medal-winning squads.
Ryan was also with Hockey Canada for their U17 Development Camp in Calgary, AB, in 2018 and 2019. In addition, he worked the 2018 and 2019 ISBHF World U-16 Men's Ball Hockey Championship with Team Canada, where he was part of a silver medal-winning squad in 2019.
