Jared Shafran

Jared Shafran joined the Reign as the team's Manager, Communications & Content, before the 2021-22 season. Shafran is the team's primary media relations contact and contributes to the Reign's AHLTV broadcast, providing play-by-play and color commentary. In addition, his role includes creating written, video, and audio content on the Reign's social media channels and ontarioreign.com and lakingsinsider.com.

Before joining Ontario, Shafran spent five seasons with the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays as the team's Director of Communications & Broadcasting from 2016-2021. He was named as a finalist for the league's PR/Broadcaster of the Year Award three times and was chosen for the honor in 2020. The Highland Mills, NY native also worked at Ferris State University and the USHL's Tri-City Storm after graduating from Northeastern University.
