About Justin
Justin Penna joined the Reign before the 2021-22 season as an Assistant Equipment Manager and was promoted to head equipment manager prior to the 2023-24 campaign. A native of Saugus, CA, Penna was previously the Asst AD, Equipment Services at Western Michigan University, where he worked primarily with the school's men's hockey program.
Penna joined the Western Michigan Athletics staff as an equipment manager in September 2015 after graduating from WMU in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. He also earned his master's degree in business administration in 2020.
Penna also previously served as the equipment manager for Team USA during the 2019 Gretzky Hlinka Cup in Pieštany, Slovakia, and Breclav, Czech Republic, as well as the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland, where the U.S. earned a silver medal.
