DEFENSEMEN TIM REGO AND PARKER BERGE RECALLED FROM ECHL’S GREENVILLE
The Ontario Reign announced today that defensemen Tim Rego and Parker Berge have been recalled from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
Rego, 25, has collected four points (2G, 2A) in 15 games with Greenville as a rookie. He made his AHL debut on Oct. 24 in a 5-2 win at Abbotsford and has appeared in two games with the Reign this season. The 6-foot, 187lb right-handed shooting defender signed a one-year AHL contract with Ontario on Apr. 3, 2025 and tallied two assists in five games with Greenville at the end of the season.
The Mansfield, MA native played four seasons at Cornell University from 2021-25 accumulating 54 points (14G, 40A) in 136 career games. Last year he was named to the ECAC All-Tournament Team, Regular Season Third All-Star Team, First Team All-Ivy, while helping the Big Red to an ECAC Championship. He served as an alternate captain leading all Cornell defensemen with 24 points (8G, 16A) and a plus-15 rating in 36 games.
Prior to college hockey, Rego played two seasons with the AJHL’s Brooks Bandits from 2019-21 recording 77 points (29G, 48A) in 72 games. He finished second among league defenders during the 2019-20 season with 61 points (24G, 37A) in 54 games and was named to the league’s South All Rookie-Team and South All-Star Team.
Berge, 22, has tallied nine points (3G, 6A) in 22 games with Greenville this season. He signed an AHL contract with the Reign on Jul. 31, 2025 after spending last season on an AHL deal with Ontario. As a rookie a year ago, he was named to ECHL All-Rookie Team tallying 38 points (6G, 32A) in 52 games with Greenville and three assists in five games with Idaho. Prior to professional hockey, the Edmonton, AB native played parts of five seasons in the WHL from 2020-24 accumulating 100 points (18G, 82A) in 213 career games splitting time with the Regina Pats and Everett Silvertips. In his final season during 2023-24, the 6-foot, 181lb left-handed shooting defender notched 63 points (13G, 50A) in 66 games spending time with Regina and Everett.
