FORWARD NIKITA ALEXANDROV LOANED TO ONTARIO FROM LA KINGS

The LA Kings announced that they have loaned forward Nikita Alexandrov to the Ontario Reign after he was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Akil Thomas. 

Alexandrov, 25, has skated in 18 games for the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) this season where he was tied for the team lead with 14 points (3G, 11A). He was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 2019 NHL Draft, second round, 62nd overall, and tallied nine points (3G, 6A) in 51 NHL games with the Blues. The 6-foot-1, 189lb left-handed shooting forward has accumulated 143 points (61G, 82A) in 188 career AHL games across six seasons splitting time between Springfield (2021-15) and Utica (2020-21). His most productive season came last year in Springfield when he career-highs in goals (21), assists (28), points (49), and power-play goals (6) while finishing second among all Thunderbirds skaters in goals and points. 

Prior to professional hockey, the Burgwedel, Germany, native played three seasons with the Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL) from 2017-20 amassing 146 points (63G, 83A) in 172 career games. He played one season with KooKoo Kouvola of SM-Liiga (Finland) recording nine points (3G, 6A) in 28 contests. He helped Russia to a U20 World Junior Championship silver medal in 2020 notching eight points (2G, 6A) in seven games.
