The LA Kings have reassigned forward Koehn Ziemmer from the Prince George Cougars (WHL) to the Ontario Reign.

Ziemmer, 20, recently completed his 2024-25 campaign with Prince George, where he appeared in 61 regular-season games and seven playoff contests. He totaled 71 points during the regular season on 37 goals and 34 assists before adding three goals and four helpers in the postseason.

The Mayerthorpe, Alberta native is Prince George’s all-time leading goal-scorer, tallying 128 goals in 244 regular season games played over parts of six seasons.

Ziemmer signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Kings on Nov. 17, 2023, after he was selected 78th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft. He then participated in both the Rookie Faceoff and LA Kings Training Camp in each of the past two seasons, making his NHL preseason debut.

Although his 2023-24 season was limited due to injury, Ziemmer scored 31 points in 23 games on 11 goals and 20 assists. The year prior he had a career-best 89 points with 41 goals and 48 helpers while playing in 68 contests.

He will wear No. 13 with the Reign, who return to action on Wednesday with a home matchup against the Colorado Eagles at Toyota Arena at 7 p.m.

Tickets for all remaining Reign home games are available to purchase through axs.com and ontarioreign.com. Season Ticket Memberships for the upcoming 2025-26 season are also on sale now.
