Kupari, Spence Recalled By LA Kings

The LA Kings made the following roster transactions Monday morning:

  • Forward Rasmus Kupari and defenseman Jordan Spence have been recalled from the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kupari, 22, has played in 11 contests with Ontario this season, scoring nine points on five goals and four assists. Most recently, he scored a game-winning goal in overtime in a win for the Reign in Tucson Saturday night.

In 16 games with the Kings during 2022-23, Kupari has five points on two goals and three assists. In four pro seasons with the Kings organization, Kupari has appeared in 80 NHL games and while scoring 19 points on eight goals and 11 assists.

Spence, 21, is the leading scorer among defensemen in Ontario for the second consecutive season with 21 points in 22 games on two goals and 19 assists. In 68 career AHL games, Spence has posted 63 points with six goals and 57 assists. The blueliner made his NHL debut with the Kings last season and played in 24 games, scoring eight points with two goals and six assists.

The Reign are back in action Friday night in Bakersfield when they face the Condors at Mechanics Bank Arena at 7 p.m. Ontario will also host their annual Teddy Bear Toss game this week on Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. inside Toyota Arena.
