Ontario earned their first shutout of the season as Isaiah Saville made 19 saves for his second career AHL shutout. Martin Chromiak scored a pair of goals including a power-play marker giving Ontario a 1-0 lead late in the first period. Andre Lee increased the lead to 3-0 in the early stages of the second period 71 seconds after Chromiak notched his second of the game while Kirill Kirsanov made it 4-0 early into the final frame. Glenn Gawdin notched a pair of assists collecting his 200th career AHL assist while Taylor Ward also finished the game with two helpers.

Martin Chromiak made the Teddy Bears fly in an eventful first period with the score tied at 2-2 through the opening 20 minutes. Andre Lee finished the night with a pair of goals and an assist. His short-handed score gave the Reign a 2-1 lead late in the first while he scored with Isaiah Saville pulled with 43 seconds left in regulation to force extra hockey. Egor Afanasyev who scored a pair of goals in regulation provided the game winner in the shootout.

Koehn Ziemmer and Jared Wright each scored a goal and tallied an assist for the Reign in the loss while Jack Hughes scored his second goal of the season. Glenn Gawdin picked up an assist extending his point streak to six-games. Jacob Doty appeared in the lineup for the first time since Nov. 4 after missing the last 16 games with an injury and finished the contest with 17 penalty minutes including a fighting major. Mattias Shollmade his AHL debut making 21 saves.
