Quinn Olson Added To Reign Playoff Roster
The Ontario Reign announced Tuesday that forward Quinn Olson has been added to the team's playoff roster on a professional tryout (PTO).
Olson, 23, rejoins Ontario after playing in six playoff games with the team's ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, during their first round series against the Orlando Solar Bears in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Olson tied for third on the team in scoring during the series with four points on two goals and two assists.
The Calgary, Alta. native made his professional debut with the Reign in the team's regular season home finale on April 12 after completing his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. During his senior season, Olson recorded 21 points (4-17=21) in 37 games with the Bulldogs while serving as an alternate captain, which placed him second on the team in assists and tied for third in overall scoring.
The 6-foot, 180-pound forward played in 175 career NCAA games with Minnesota-Duluth and hit the 20-point mark three times, totaling 96 points on 27 goals and 69 assists. Olson was also part of two NCAA Tournament appearances with UMD in 2021 and 2022 and helped capture an NCHC Tournament Championship during 2021-22.
